Portable Appliance Testing

Electrical Safety Tests

PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTING, or PAT Testing as it is usually called is a means by which electrical equipment is tested for safety to ensure that staff, visitors or general users are not hurt by an electrical shock or electrical failure. Confusingly, PAT testing extends to equipment that could hardly be described as portable.

If you have an office, warehouse, factory, holiday accommodation or any premises where members of the public might go, then you need to ensure the electrical safety of your equipment. The easiest way to do this is with a PAT test.

We carry out PAT tests throughout West Somerset and further afield. We are based in Minehead, but we also cover, Watchet, Williton, Dulverton, Porlock. We also do PAT tests in Taunton and Bridgwater.

We use experienced and qualified staff to carry out PAT tests, and we can come to you wherever you are based. We can carry out testing procedures outside of normal working hours to minimise downtime and disruption.

Did you know that 25% of reportable electrical accidents are caused by problems with portable appliances, and probably considerably more accidents occur which are not reported.

Appliances should be tested if they are
PAT test for employees used by employees

PAT test on hired equipment hired or loaned
